We've Created a Range of Stationery and Gifts!
OMG I am so excited to share this with you, and I'm SO proud of it.
It's FINALLY here- our brand new stationery and gift range! This has been a lifelong dream of mine, and, after a few challenging years, we decided to go all in and make my dream happen.
Hang on a minute... if it's always been a dream, why didn't you start with stationery? I know, I can hear your thoughts. You can call me 'Mystic Em' (throwback to Mystic Meg off of the nineties, if anyone else in the room is old enough to remember her?!)
I never planned on making laser cut cards. In fact, I always wanted to be a book artist and I almost did a degree in book binding, but Cornwall called and I decided a surface pattern design degree would be fine as long as I could live by the sea.
After I graduated from university, I sort of 'fell' into laser cut cards. It was never supposed to be the end-point, but orders took over and before I knew it, we had 4 laser cutters and 9 staff working extended hours to get all the greetings card orders made.
Fast-forward to the post-covid years and, I won't lie, it's been tough. So my thoughts are that if I have always wanted to make stationery and books, there's no time like the present!

Where do I start?
Firstly, have you seen the cover? I am obsessed! The pink stripes, the whimsical illustrations and the seriously cute text- what's not to adore?! These notebooks literally make even the most boring of note-taking scenarios more joyful. That's what I really wanted from this first collection- a bit of playfulness, whimsy and joy. I think these notebooks tick all the boxes there.
Secondly, the quality. We've gone for 120gsm white paper (that's proper thick, high quality paper, in case you're not familiar with paper weights). While many notebooks opt for the much cheaper 90gsm or 100gsm paper, we've gone all in on quality and chosen the best paper available.
Thirdly, these A5 hardback notebooks are made in the UK. We wanted to use as many local and UK suppliers as possible, so we've put this range together carefully. That's actually one of the reasons it's taken so long to put the range together- sourcing materials and suppliers of the highest quality and as locally as possible.
And my favourite detail- the spine! It's unbelievably cute! Just look!

Pretty design that makes list writing less of a chore. I mean, who wouldn't want to write a to do list on this gorgeous, colourful notepad?
Check boxes and clear format make list-writing a breeze. You get to experience that little hit of dopamine every time you add a tick to the tick boxes. The gorgeous gift box- it makes these pens a thoughtful small gift for any stationery loving friend. The box takes this from 'a lovely pen' to 'a perfect gift'. Don't get me wrong, the pen is seriously lovely, but the box... well.. chef's kisses. It's the cherry on top. I mean, just look at it!

Our brand new washi tapes, paperclips and trinket dishes are imminent. I'm currently working on diaries and calendars for 2027 (I know!!), and I'm furiously searching for a local ceramicist to commission a range of mugs (if you're a mug-making hero and can help with this, drop us a message).
Oh, and I am also working on a new design for stationery collection number 2. It's going to be a floral, pastel, elegant affair - a complete opposite to the 'Whimsical' range's playful and bold vibe. It's called 'Bloom', and it'll be available in Summer 2026 (we hope!).
