16th September is officially 100 days to Christmas!
If you didn't notice on social media, firstly, where were you yesterday?! But more importantly, 16th September is a day that most creative small business owners have been waiting for since, erm... about March.
Why is 16th September Important?
Well, basically, it means we are officially allowed to talk about all things Christmas! 100 days before Christmas is an acceptable length of countdown, right?!
You see, we've all been busy working away on Christmas all year long behind the scenes. It never really stops for us designer-maker types. We rely heavily on the festive season as our busiest time of the year, but it doesn't happen overnight. What you guys don't get to see is the 8-9 months of research, designing, testing, re-designing and trying to feel Christmassy in a heat wave or before mince pies are in the shops.
I mean, have you ever watched Elf and listened to Mariah in April? I have, and it's a weird feeling.
We usually start to get really excited about Christmas around July, but during the summer months, our lovely customers are not even slightly thinking about snow and mince pies. So we just have to sit quietly and keep it all inside, waiting for what feels like an appropriate time to finally get our festive on and share our excitement with the world. I feel like the kid in class who puts their hand up as high as possible because they desperately want to share something but the teacher's talking so they just have to wait. Yep. That's been me for the past few months!
What Have We Got Planned For Christmas 2026?
Well, we have a whole new range of Christmas photo cards to launch- we are still just in the final stages of working out the technicalities of the listings to make it easier for you to upload a photo to your order, but they are launching before October. Keep an eye out for them- they are unbelievably beautiful! In fact, here's a sneak peek at one of them...
And we're also in the final stages of designing a new Christmas decoration- I can't share too much yet as it's still at the printers, but it's going to be pretty darn special.
Our 100 Days to Christmas Calendar
This is what our 100 days to Christmas calendar looks like right now:
- September 16th - 100 days, the countdown is on and we are allowed to talk about Christmas!
- October 1st - Our Christmas range will be live on the website and available to order
- November 27th (Friday) - Black Friday Weekend.
- December 1st - Last posting for international orders
- December 5th (Saturday) - Our 18th Birthday! (Stay tuned for celebrations) This is also Small Business Saturday, so expect lots of small business fun.
- December 11th (Friday) - Last call for Royal Mail 2nd class orders
- December 17th (Thursday) - Last call for Royal Mail 1st Class
- December 18th (Friday) - Last call for Tracked 48 Delivery
- December 21st (Monday) - Last call for Royal Mail Tracked 24 and Special Delivery
- December 23rd (Wednesday) - Officially we will be closed, but in reality, myself and Gill will probably be in the studio to send out any non-Christmas orders and answer emails.
- December 24th (Thursday) -Christmas Eve (closed)
- December 25th (Friday) - Christmas Day (closed)
Of course, this may still change a bit, but this is what we're looking at right now. I'm so excited to share this festive season with you.
