Black Friday is a tricky beast.
We want to reward our very valued customers with a nice juicy discount before Christmas, and hey, we certainly could do with the extra income. A girl's gotta eat, you know.
But the thing about Black Friday is...
It's been shown that big brands regularly inflate prices before offering "discounts" for Black Friday. Often the "sale" prices are higher than summer prices. I recently experienced this when hunting for a mattress- it is £20 more now than when I looked in August!
That doesn't sit right with us.
As a small business, we do our best to keep our prices fair all year round, but margins are so tight. We've swallowed the cost of postage increases twice this year, and our material costs have gone up significantly.
We are also against the idea of encouraging people to buy stuff for the sake of it.
So that's where we're at.
Now let's see what we are doing for Black Friday 2024...
We've decided to reward our loyal customers with an exclusive 30% discount code this year. It'll be valid from Friday 29th November until Tuesday 3rd December 2024. Those of you that follow us or have been with us for a while will know that we just don't do this. The biggest discount we've given on the website to date has been 20%, so this is huge.
