Anyone else bored of normal Easter eggs?
Here’s a super easy Easter gift that looks amazing and is (more importantly) filled with everyone’s favourite- mini eggs! Not only that, but you are also gifting the recipient a beautiful jar that they can keep way beyond the Easter weekend. It's a fun and beautiful gift that keeps on giving!
This jar was actually from our local supermarket and was just £4, but you could repurpose a beautiful coffee jar, Kilner jar or similar. If you're anything like me, you'll hate throwing away pretty containers and have a kitchen cupboard piled high with them. Give the jar a good clean first and thoroughly dry it before you put the mini eggs in it (otherwise you'll end up with a pastel-coloured sludge at the bottom of the jar.)
Fill your jar with mini eggs, or other sweet treat. You could fill it with the recipient's favourite sweets, popcorn or pick n mix I prefer mini eggs because I love the pastel colours and think they are the epitome of spring vibes.
If you didn't want to fill the jar with edible treats, you could always put something else in there- fancy soaps, vintage buttons, hand-written notes, promises, recipes, nail polish, bath bombs, pompoms, coins or any other tiny things.
Tie a ribbon around the jar. You could even add a gift tag in a coordinating colour if you're feeling extra fancy. I like to use ribbons that match the pastel colours of the eggs, so I went for a lilac ribbon. I also chose an Easter card in a similar colour to really complete the whole look.
